This is one classic recipe that will stay forever! I use 2 colors cheese because of the style it gives the bread. Be creative and try different kind if you want!

Ingredients

  • 1 belgian bread loaf, cut in half on the long side
  • Olive oil
  • About 1 cup honey
  • 4 cups of 2 colors cheddar cheese, grated
  • Fresh parsley, coarsly chopped
  • Ground pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven at 400°F.
  • Put the bread on a cooking sheet, open side up, and drizzle a good amount of olive oil on the interior of the bread. Rub with your hands to even out.
  • Spread the cheese evenly on the 2 pieces of bread.
  • Drizzle the honey all over the bread! Don’t be shy to add more! Garnish with fresh parsley then season with ground pepper.
  • Cook in the over for about 8 minutes then broil until golden crispy.
  • Cut in large strips then serve immediately. Perfect with any piece of meat on the BBQ. Careful, it’s hot!
