A classic ham and macaroni salad, this really gives me the summer heat! It’s simply and never gets old. I’ll soon publish my girlfriend’s version!

  • 375g macaronis
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 1/2 cup celeri, cut in half then finely sliced
  • 1 1/2 cup carrots, cut in half then finely sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, cut in cubes
  • 1 1/2 cup cooked toupie ham, cut in cubes
  • A big handful fresh Italian parsley, coarsely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Provence herbs
  • About 7 tablespoons mayonaise ( or more to taste )
  • Salt and ground pepper

  • In a big sauce pan filled with salted boilling water, cook the pasta al dente as per instructions on the box. Pour in a strainer, rince with cold water and drain well.
  • Throw the pasta in a big bowl, add the rest of the ingredients then stir well.
  • Place in fridge for about 25-30 minutes to allow the flavors to work their magic! Fix seasonning if necessary.

Our wine stewards suggest

+- 15$ Vignoble Rivière du Chêne Cuvée William 2013

Light with a original spicy character. An original blend coming from… St-Eustache!

+- 30$ Château De Pierreux 2013

Brouilly is a vintage from the Beaujolais region. We can find round and fruity gamays, perfect for this type of joyful and unpretentious cooking.

Helle, Vrooden

This fresh macaroni and ham salad will be a perfect pairing with this crunchy German lager beer with notes of cereals, spices and greenery. A fresh and simple pairing !
