Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of salmon fillet
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soya sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 drops toasted sesame oil
  • Salt and ground pepper

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine together all the ingredients except the salmon. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat the bbq at 400°F and lower heat to half.
  • On a hot and oiled grill ( or on a cedar plank ) cook the salmon skin side down. With a brush, baste the salmon with the sauce every 3-4 minutes. The skin will caramelize and burn but the meat will be tasty like never before! Cook for about 20 minutes of until desired doneness. You can also cook this in the oven, same temperature. Simply put the salmon in a pyrex style glassware and don’t forget to baste often!

***Note: For a more intense flavors, marinate for a few hours!***

***Warning, if you are cooking the salmon directly on the grill, the sugar and oil will lit on fire which can cause the salmon to burn fast. Simply lower heat a little and always have a spray bottle of water to extinguish the fire underneat!***

Ippon, Jukebox
Flavored with ginger and Sichuan pepper, this beer offers subtle notes of fresh bread hidden by citrus notes of pepper and ginger. The spicy taste of this beer will contrast with the sweet taste of the maple. See the product
