Bacon + chocolate = earthly paradise. Here, I have concocted 3 versions with milk chocolate, dark chocolate and even white chocolate. It’s simple, it’s sweet and salty, we love it.

Milk chocolate

  • 500 g  maple smoked bacon, cooked crispy
  • 300 g milk chocolate chips
  • About 2 tablespoons fleur de sel

Dark chocolate

  • 500 g maple smoked bacon, cooked crispy
  • 300 g dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup cashew, finely chopped

White chocolate

  • 500 g  maple smoked bacon, cooked crispy
  • 300 g pure white chocolate chips
  • The zest of 2 limes

Preparation

  • Cook the bacon and absorb the fat with paper towels. Let cool for 15 minutes to harden.
  • In a bain-marie, melt the chocolate while stirring. Keep warm.
  • Place the bacon slices on a piece of aluminum foil and brush the 3/4 with chocolate. Garnish with the chosen garnish and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to harden!
