Preparation
- In a bowl, add the ingredients for the mayonnaise, season with salt and pepper then mix. Reserve in the fridge.
- On the bottom bread, spread a nice amount of mayonnaise. Add a few leaves of lettuce and arugula, to taste, followed by slices of cheese.
- Add bacon followed by sliced tomatoes and avocado. Spread mayonnaise on top bread, place bread on top and press lightly. Stitch with long toothpicks and cut in half!
Our sommeliers suggest
Zuccardi Q Cabernet Franc
Mendoza, Argentina
The Zuccardi Q Cabernet Franc, a red from Argentina, comes from a grape known for its red fruit and a fresh, slightly herbal edge. That works well here: it echoes the tomato and the arugula, and it stands up to the salty bacon, the provolone and the creamy mayo without flattening them. A red that stays simple and easygoing for a Sunday lunch.

KOLSCH, KRUHNEN, 5.4%
Bacon, tomato, lettuce and plenty of mayonnaise: a BLT is fattier than it looks. A light blonde ale, very thirst-quenching, clings to the grain of the toasted bread and refreshes the lettuce between bites. Nothing complicated, which is just what the sandwich asks for.
