🍔Tips and tricks for a homemade Big Mac with real McDonald's sauce

There’s nothing more satisfying than recreating an ultra-tasty homemade Big Mac, with its homemade McDonald’s sauce that tastes exactly like the original. To achieve perfection and rock your favorite fast-food joint, here are a few tips and tricks you won’t want to miss.

1, The real McDonald’s Big Mac sauce

The secret of a legendary homemade Big Mac is its ultra-creamy sauce, with its perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Its creamy texture coats every bite, while a hint of vinegar enhances the burger’s flavors. A touch of sweetness, a hint of spiciness, and just the right amount of crunch with fine chunks of onion… The result? A sauce that tastes exactly like the original – maybe even better! Let it rest in the fridge before using, to allow the flavors to develop fully and reach their full potential.

2. Ultra-juicy steaks

Use 80/20 ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat) for tasty, tender steaks. Avoid squeezing them too much when cooking (we want to keep the fat) and simply season with salt and pepper. Cook them on a very hot pan or cast-iron griddle for a beautiful caramelized crust.

3. Toasted brioche buns

Take some sesame-seed burger buns and toast them lightly in butter on a dry frying pan or barbecue grill. The crispness of the bun prevents it from absorbing too much sauce and adds the perfect texture.

4. Assembling a homemade Big Mac

The double center bun is essential for a deluxe Big Mac! Use a third bun for authenticity. Then follow the perfect order:

✅ Homemade Big Mac sauce + onions + lettuce + pickles + cheese + steak
✅ Second bun in the middle
✅ Sauce + onions + lettuce + steak alone
✅ Top bun

5. The pickle trick

Thinly sliced dill pickles are a must if you want to replicate the McD’s experience. Don’t skip this step!

6. An even crazier homemade Big Mac?

Add crispy bacon, a slice of Swiss cheese, or even a homemade BBQ sauce for a gourmet touch.

With these professional tips, your homemade Big Mac will be just as good as the original! Get ready to bite into the ultimate burger, with real homemade McDonald’s sauce. 🍔🔥

7. How to store McDonald’s Big Mac sauce

Homemade McDonald’s Big Mac sauce keeps for about 5-7 days in the fridge, in an airtight container. Be sure to stir it well before each use, as some ingredients may separate slightly over time.

Tip: For optimum freshness, use well-chilled ingredients from the start, and avoid contaminating the sauce with a previously used spoon.
