Our sommeliers suggest
Zuccardi Q Cabernet Franc
Mendoza, Argentina
The Zuccardi Q Cabernet Franc, a red from Argentina, comes from a grape known for its red fruit and a fresh, slightly herbal edge. That works well here: it echoes the tomato and the arugula, and it stands up to the salty bacon, the provolone and the creamy mayo without flattening them. A red that stays simple and easygoing for a Sunday lunch. See the product
KOLSCH, KRUHNEN, 5.4%
Bacon, tomato, lettuce and plenty of mayonnaise: a BLT is fattier than it looks. A light blonde ale, very thirst-quenching, clings to the grain of the toasted bread and refreshes the lettuce between bites. Nothing complicated, which is just what the sandwich asks for. See the product
