This recipe is not my invention of course, but after testing it, it is amazing! Who doesn’t like eating the good old Big Mac from times to times? I DO! Especially after a night drinking. But, I don’t trust their ingredients that is why I prefer making it at home. This hamburger is so good that you won’t believe it!

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Kraft French dressing
  • 1 tablespoon yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 4 teaspoons sweet relish
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and ground pepper

Ingredients for the hamburger

  • 600g medium lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried origano
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal bifteak spices
  • 4 big hamburger buns with sesame
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
  • About 1 1/2 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon
  • 4 slices of dill pickles
  • Ketchup

Preparation

  • In a bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce and stir well. Cook in the microwave at max intensity for 25 seconds. Stir well then reserve in fridge for at least 6 hours or even better, all night!
  • In a big bowl, add the beef with the dried oregano and Montreal spices. Blend together with the hands then form 4 larges but thin patties, about 1 cm thick.
  • Preheat the bbq at max and reduce to medium intensity. Oil the grills, place the patties and cook for 2 minutes. Give a 45 degrees rotation and continue cooking for 2 minutes. Flip and repeat : cook 2 minutes, rotate 45 degrees and cook 2 minutes. Meat should be well cook! Verify before remove from bbq. Butter and grill buns if desired.
  • Time to stack up those burgers! In a bottom, spread 1 tablespoon of sauce then add 1 tablespoon of chopped onions and a bit of lettuce. Add a cheese slice, the beef pattie and top with another bun base.Repeat with the sauce, onions, lettuce and beef pattie. Add 2 slices of pickled, 2 sliced of bacon, a bit of ketchup to taste then finish with the top bun!!! Serve immediately and good luck staying clean!

PS : You’ll end up with 2 extras top buns. Just grill them the next day and eat them as toasts!
