✅ Skillet cooking option
If you don’t have an air fryer handy, you can easily sauté these shrimp in a hot pan with a drizzle of olive oil for 2 to 3 minutes per side. The result will be just as tasty and juicy.
✅ Side dish ideas for hosting
For a complete meal that impresses your guests, serve the shrimp on a bed of creamy lemon risotto, with grilled asparagus, or in deluxe tacos with a small lime coleslaw. They are also excellent over garlic and oil pasta.
✅ The secret to texture
Patting the shrimp dry with a paper towel before mixing the spices is crucial. This prevents the shrimp from boiling in their own juice and ensures the seasoning sticks perfectly to the meat.
✅ Personalize the punch
For those who like it hot, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes to the initial spice mix. A bit of fresh lemon zest added just before serving will also make all the difference.

Preparation
- Clean the shrimp by removing the shells and veins if not already done. Rinse under cold water, then pat dry thoroughly with paper towels.
- In a bowl, add the shrimp and the rest of the ingredients except for the parsley. Mix well to thoroughly coat the shrimp with the oil and spice mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 °F (205 °C).
- Place the shrimp in the basket in a single layer, without overlapping to ensure optimal air circulation.
- Cook for 8 minutes, without flipping, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Remove from the air fryer, garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with the side dish of your choice.
For perfectly juicy jumbo shrimp bursting with flavor, an ideal cooking time is only 7 to 8 minutes. This timeframe allows the spices and lemon juice to infuse properly without drying out the meat.
Using frozen shrimp is definitely possible, but make sure to thaw them completely and pat them dry before cooking to prevent them from releasing too much water in the air fryer basket.
Shrimp change color quickly. As soon as they form a “C” shape and are opaque with a nice pink hue, they are ready. If they curl up too tightly into an “O” shape, they are starting to overcook.
