Melting camembert with fine herbs

  • A 500g Camembert cheese, unpacked
  • 1/4 cup half-salted butter, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh tarragon, chopped very finely
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped very finely
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped very finely
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped very finely
  • 1/4 teaspoon Provence herbs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced very finely
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • Bread croutons

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Place the butter in a bowl and let soften for 10 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, season with salt and pepper and mix well to form a paste.
  • Place the cheese in a baking dish and spread the mixture on top.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes, until the center is melting. Serve with bread croutons!
