  • 8 store-bought baked croissants
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, blueberries, etc.)
  • Whipped cream
  • Crispy bacon slices (optional… but let’s be honest, absolutely not optional)

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to its lowest setting (about 170°F or 75°C) to keep the croffles warm after cooking.
  • Preheat the waffle iron to high heat, then cook the croffles one at a time for about 2 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • Transfer each croffle to the oven as it’s done to keep them warm while you cook the rest.
  • Serve hot with fresh fruit, whipped cream… and crispy bacon if you really want to blow everyone’s mind.
