I added vodka because I wanted an adults-only version. I don’t drink alcohol myself, so I just took a small taste to validate. And I found it completely mind-blowing. Vodka with strawberries is just perfect. You can definitely taste the vodka, but combined with the sweetness of the strawberries and the maple syrup, it’s a pairing that just works on every level. If you don’t want it for kids or prefer a sober version, you can totally skip it (see the variation below) or swap it for rum if you want a different flavour profile. But if you go with the original version, \u2154 cup of vodka is the perfect balance.<\/p>\n
That’s the beauty of this recipe: 5 minutes in the blender, transfer to a dish, freeze for 6 hours or overnight, and that’s it.
