This is one classic recipe that will stay forever! I use 2 colors cheese because of the style it gives the bread. Be creative and try different kind if you want!

  • 1 belgian bread loaf, cut in half on the long side
  • Olive oil
  • About 1 cup honey
  • 4 cups of 2 colors cheddar cheese, grated
  • Fresh parsley, coarsly chopped
  • Ground pepper

  • Preheat the oven at 400°F.
  • Put the bread on a cooking sheet, open side up, and drizzle a good amount of olive oil on the interior of the bread. Rub with your hands to even out.
  • Spread the cheese evenly on the 2 pieces of bread.
  • Drizzle the honey all over the bread! Don’t be shy to add more! Garnish with fresh parsley then season with ground pepper.
  • Cook in the over for about 8 minutes then broil until golden crispy.
  • Cut in large strips then serve immediately. Perfect with any piece of meat on the BBQ. Careful, it’s hot!

Our wine stewards suggest

This Czech-inspired pilsner is the definition of aromas of bread and honey. It will evoke the taste of crouton and let the fat of the cheese satisfy you. If the bread is hot, make sure that your beer is cold!
